Marius explains the technique to a group during a workshop
Sounds familiar?

You might be thinking…

“I’ve never done gymnastics or acrobatics.”

Perfect. Most participants start from scratch. We begin with the basics, not with a level you need to reach.

“I’m not strong enough.”

A handstand is first about alignment and balance. Strength comes with practice, not before.

“I’m scared of falling.”

Most of the time, we imagine falling as far more dramatic than it really is. I’ll show you how to work towards your goal step by step, safely.

“My wrists are fragile.”

Every session starts with wrist preparation. You’ll leave with exercises to strengthen them at home.

“I do CrossFit, but my handstand walks are more luck than control.”

That’s normal: they’re usually learned through strength, rarely through balance. I’ll show you how to find balance in your hands, so your handstand walks and handstand push-ups gain control.

“I already train, but I’m going round in circles.”

What’s usually missing is structure, and that’s exactly what the workshop gives you. Above all, I’ll help you understand and feel what your hands need to sense to stay balanced!

What you take home

You don’t leave with a memory. You leave with a plan.

01

A clear structure

You know which order to work in: prepare the body, go up, hold, come down. No more random attempts against the wall.

02

The right exercises

A short selection of exercises to repeat at home, no equipment needed. Each one has a clear purpose, and you know what it is.

03

Exactly what to think about

The two or three points that make the difference when you train alone. It’s what self-taught learners miss most.

You keep progressing after the workshop, because you know what to do and why.

Your coach

Hi, I’m Marius.

I’m a circus artist and a teacher. In 2022, I completed my Bachelor in Circus Arts in Tilburg (Netherlands), specialising in handstands.

During my teacher training, I coached beginner hand balancers. They weren’t short of training: they simply didn’t know how to think about their practice in order to progress. So I built a simple system: fundamentals first, in the right order, understanding what really matters.

As a teacher, my job is to make things clear. I won’t just show you what I can do; I’ll teach you what you need to move forward. I’ll guide you through a system that helps you understand what you’re doing!

I’ve taught children and seniors, athletes and people who had never done any sport.

More about me
In the workshop

Beginners, the curious, the passionate.

All ages, all backgrounds. Everyone progresses at their own pace.

How it works

Your two hours, step by step

  1. IntroductionI present the session’s goal and my background, then everyone says a word about their experience. This step helps me truly tailor the workshop to the group.
  2. Prepare the bodyWrists, shoulders, core: you prepare what will carry your weight. I’ll give you tips for an effective, well-thought-out warm-up.
  3. Training in the middle of the roomYou learn to get onto your hands step by step. We structure the way up into the balance and build reference points to gain confidence in the movement.
  4. SpottingWith my help, you feel in your hands the difference between a balance that holds by luck and a controlled one.
  5. The wallIt’s a great tool, but it’s easy to become dependent on it. I’ll share my tips to go from luck to a thoughtful use of the wall.
  6. Your plan for afterwardsWe review together: your exercises, the order to work in, and what to think about when you train alone.

Frequently asked questions

I’ve never tried. Is it really for me?

Yes. The workshop is designed first for beginners, and it’s also perfect for deepening your understanding. What better than a clear method to move forward?

Will I be able to hold a handstand by the end?

It depends on where you start, and I won’t promise a miracle in two hours. What I do promise is that you’ll leave knowing exactly how to get there.

What if I’m the only beginner?

You won’t be. Everyone works at their own level, with personal feedback, and I also give tips to the whole group.

Do I need to be fit?

No, a little courage is enough. If you’re injured, message me first. But hand balancing is a gentle, exploratory practice, without the impacts of acrobatics.

Do I need to be a member of CrossFit Granica?

No, the workshop is open to everyone, members or not.

What should I bring?

Comfortable sportswear and a water bottle.

How do I pay?

Registration is free. You pay on site on the day of the workshop, in cash or by TWINT.
